Preference was amazing! Preference was my first formal dance that i have ever been to and I couldn't ask for anything more! There was 14 of us in our group! J'see and Nash, Emily and Nate, Lisa and Ryan, Lynsey and Spencer, Tanner and I, Sarah and Tal, and Katie and Matt! My date was Tanner Wheadon he is a sophomore but i am only older then him by 1 1/2 months. He is on the Lone Peak Basketball team. He is 6'3" we looked really funny together when I danced with him I had to look completely up like I was looking at the ceiling. I am only 5'2" he is a whole foot taller then me! I also like Tanner!For our day date we went laser tagging, which is fun like it always was. All the girls didn't tell there dates what we were doing and we just told them to wear a white or light colored shirt! They were a little mad when they realized they fell for that trick! We were all ready to play and the owner told they guys to go to floor and we told us that if they boys hit each other it will kill them but if we hit our own team mates it wouldn't do anything, also there vest were always going to light up so we could always see them. Even thought the girls had the biggest advantage we still lost! We lost by 70! My date Tanner was having a ruff time he only shot 6 people and was shot 36 times he got very last our of 14 people. I took 11! After we got done with laser tagging we went and got Ice Cream and the BYU creamery! Then we took the boys home so we all could get ready for the dance and dinner.We went and got the boys after running around for about 3 hours getting everything ready, but finally we were ready and pretty and ready to pick up our dates. When I went and picked up my date his parents were both in cali for his dad's work and so his kind sister was there and as she said "the mother for the night" She took pictures of us just together and then putting the flowers on and then on the porch. She was a sweet heart! Then we went to dinner that our group prepared. We had dinner at an amazing house in our ward that is very old and they just re-did it! When everyone got at the house my mom and Sarah's mom and Katie's mom all came over and took pictures for about 30 min. Then after that we went back into the room we were eating in which was set up pretty much amazing and we all ate. Sarah's mom made Cafe Reo Salad or burritos for us. Then we had better then sex cake! After that we sat around and talked and had a good time then we went to the dance. When we got to the dance we took pictures and then danced our hearts away.I had so much I couldn't have asked for a better date. At the beginning he didn't really know anyone in our group but by dinner he was talking and getting to know everyone. All night long he kept on telling me how much fun he was having and kept on saying thanking for everything. I think my favorite thing about the whole night was we were slow dancing and he started to talk to me and he was like I have been looking around at everyone and it makes me feel amazing that my date is modest and thanked me for being modest two times. My date was as perfect as anyone could get. He always opened the door for me, and always talking to me. He even once went to the side of the gym and sat down at a girl named Daria and talked to her for awhile because she was all alone, I went over and me and him talked to her for about 5 min and then her date came and got her. After then dance I took everyone home! It was an amazing night and there is no way I will ever forget it!
